I also want to share this week a great Website for parents that focuses on reading: http://www.readingrockets.org/
It was great to meet and/or see so many families at conferences. I am very proud of how well students discussed their learning and goals.

Some parents asked for resources, so I've added a Language Arts Resource section and a Math section. Please feel free to use the links found on both for a challenge or support.

Book orders are due on Wednesday. See the link below for online ordering.

Progress reports will come out on Tuesday  next Tuesday, December 6th.

Financial Aid Nights

Students and parent/guardians in Bellingham Public Schools are invited to learn more about financial aid options for post-high school education at upcoming financial aid information events.  There are two opportunities to attend: 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 in the Bellingham High School theater or 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall at 119 Texas Street (Cornwall Avenue and Texas).

Financial aid officers from Western Washington University will provide information as well as discuss how to apply for scholarships and how the Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA) application works, including FAFSA deadlines, how to complete it and qualifications for the aid.
Interpreters will be available at both events to assist families who speak Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese and Punjabi.
For more information about financial aid and these FAFSA events, please contact your high school's Career Center.

Confirmation of Conference Times went home last week! Please check to see what time your conference is scheduled. Your child MUST come to the conference (the conferences are student-led).

We are on an early release schedule on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday is a 5,6,7 schedule. Thursday and Friday are 1,2,3 (also known as 4...).

9 Week Progress Reports were mailed Thursday. Your student still has 9 weeks to improve their grades before report cards.

I look forward to seeing a lot of you over the next two weeks for conferences!
